Awards, Grants, and Accomplishments
Being a new student organization we strive to better ourselves and reach club goals, and when we work together and get things done we get rewarded.
Club of the Year
The first year of the Media Club the 2013-2014 school year we were few in number perhaps only 15 regular members who attended and contributed to the club on a regular basis but through hard work we made our mark on the campus and was awarded Snead State Community College Club of the Year for the 2013-2014 school year. This year we are pushing ourselves even further to defend our title against the many other student organizations on campus.
Grant
The SSCC Media Club was awarded a grant from the Alabama Press Association Journalism Foundation for the hard work of the club members. The club plans to use the funds from the grant to start a Snead State Community College Student Newspaper.
